How does the admissions process work?
Admissions follows each applicant from inquiry → test → interview → decision → enrollment. Each applicant is a card in the Active Pipeline, and when they are accepted you press Convert to Student, so nobody is typed twice.
How do I record a walk-in or phone inquiry?
Admissions → Log Inquiry. Enter the child's name, date of birth, gender, desired class, parent name and phone, and the Source (walk-in, phone, referral, website). For Intermediate (class 11) you can also record the Group (Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Computer Science, Arts) and previous exam marks (e.g. Matric obtained/total). These give a Merit %.
Can parents apply online?
Yes. Your school has a public inquiry form at /apply/<your-school-code>. It is only open while an Admission Cycle is running. With no cycle, the form says admissions are closed. Online inquiries appear in the pipeline with source Website.
What is an Admission Cycle?
Admissions → Admission Cycles → New Cycle. It sets when applications open and close (e.g. "2026-27 Admissions"), which classes are open, for which campus, the number of seats, and whether a Test and/or Interview is required. It only controls the public form. Staff can always log or admit an applicant.
How do I move an applicant through the stages?
Open the applicant and use Actions: Schedule Test, Record Test Score, Schedule Interview, Record Interview, Record Decision, then Convert to Student. If the cycle requires a test or interview, Skoolyte won't let you skip it. To move several applicants at once, tick them on the list and press Move Applicants. To correct a mistake, Move to a different stage moves one applicant anywhere, forwards or backwards.
What happens when I press Convert to Student?
You confirm the student's details (name, date of birth, gender, father's name and CNIC, class, enrollment date). The student is created with the next admission number and linked to the parent, so siblings are suggested. Address, medical details and documents can be filled in on the student's profile afterwards.
Where do I see applicants' merit?
The pipeline list shows a Merit % column, worked out from the previous exam marks you entered. Search or filter the list to the class you are admitting to and compare.
